This article guides users through the steps to sign in to the Slack app on an iPad using Google Single Sign-On (SSO)

Prerequisites

Before signing in, ensure that:

  • The Slack workspace allows Google SSO.

  • You have an active Google account linked to your workspace.

  • Your iPad is connected to the internet

Steps to Sign In to Slack Using Google SSO

  1. Open the Slack App and “Sign In”

  • On the Slack welcome screen, tap Sign in.

  1. Choose “Continue with Google”

  • Tap Continue with Google.
    This will redirect you to the Google login page.

  1. Select Your Google Account

You will see one of the following:

If your Google account appears on the list:

  • Tap your Google email.

If your account is not listed:

  • Tap Use another account.

  • Enter your Google email address and tap Next.

  • Enter your password and tap Next.

  1. Allow Permission

  • If prompted, tap Allow to give Slack access to your Google account for authentication.

  1. Complete Sign-In

  • Slack will open your workspace and begin syncing your messages and channels
