Empowering Your Practice: April 22, 2026 Weekly Updates
Last updated: April 22, 2026
Welcome to your weekly source for essential team updates. Each week, we will share updates designed to help you run a thriving, compliant, and efficient practice. From platform enhancements to compliance changes, this is your go-to resource for staying aligned.
Product / Engineering
Observing Providers: BCBA’s who are not yet enrolled with a client’s primary insurance will serve as observing providers until their enrollment is completed.
Observing providers are clinicians who are not enrolled with the client’s payer but still require visibility into clinical progress and treatment planning. These providers are granted view-only access and are restricted from any write or signing workflows that require write-mode permissions.
Clinical Quality & Compliance
Signature & Session Compliance Guardrails: We’ve updated Orbit’s Signature & Session Compliance Guardrails to strengthen how clinical documentation is created, reviewed, signed, and completed.
These updates improve consistency across workflows by ensuring accurate provider signatures, proper payer compliance, and correct alignment between documentation and billing.
Key changes include:
Supervising BCBAs must be enrolled with the client’s primary payer
Only Supervising BCBAs are permitted to sign supervision session notes
Orbit now enforces signature validation to ensure proper provider authorization, identity verification, and payer compliance prior to submission
You can read more about these guardrails in our support article: Signature & Session Compliance Guardrails.
Credentialing and Billing
Credentialing Update: We are currently short-staffed on the credentialing team. As a result, response times may be delayed. Our team is actively working to support all requests as efficiently and effectively as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
